Wagon Wheel lyrics and chords

Wagon Wheel actually originates from Bob Dylan who wrote the chorus and melody, but never finished the song. The unfinished version was recorded during the Pat Garret & Billy the Kid soundtrack sessions and released later on a bootleg and fans called it Rock Me Mama. When Ketch Secor of the Old Crow Medicine got a copy of the bootleg and heard the song, he wrote the verses around the original chorus and the band made it what it is now. Wagon Wheel was released by Old Crow Medicine Show in 2004 and is still their signature song. Nice detail is that Ketch Secor and Bob Dylan agreed upon a co-writing agreement and split the royalties evenly.
